Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is housed inside Hangar #1 at the Cape May Airport in southern New Jersey. The site was formerly a Naval aviation base during World War II. Hangar #1 is listed on the National and New Jersey State Registers of Historic Places at the National Significance Level. The Aviation Museum is open year-round and boasts over 26 aircraft displays as well as military memorabilia, engines, photographs, interactive exhibits and more! April 1st thru Columbus Day
Open Daily 9 AM to 5 PM

Columbus Day thru November 30th
Open Daily 9 AM to 4 PM

December 1st thru March 31st
Monday – Friday 9 AM to 4 PM
Saturday – Sunday Closed

Admission Fees

Adults: $10.00
Seniors: $10.00
Children: 3 thru 12 $8.00
Children under 3: FREE!
Active Duty Military w/ ID: FREE!
*Military dependents must pay regular admission.

There is no fee for parking.


Accessibility

  • Large handicap parking spaces are available near the main entrance.
  • Wheelchairs may be checked out from our Gift Shop. There is no cost to use them.
  • Our Seasonal restrooms are handicap accessible. In the winter, please call for restroom availability.
  • The Museum has ramps available for wheelchairs at each minor change in level.
  • Call ahead for changes in the above information.

History and aviation enthusiasts of ALL ages tour the Aviation Museum!

The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum offers guided tours to groups and schools by reservation. The tours are tailored to accommodate the age and interests of the group. Call the museum office at (609)886-8787 with any questions or to make a reservation.

Southbound from Parkway: Take Exit 4A on to Rt 47. Travel west to Rt 9 (second traffic light) and make a left onto Rt 9S. Travel to Breakwater Rd (traffic light) and make a right. Travel to Cape May Airport entrance and make a right into the airport complex. Follow Aviation Museum signs.

Southbound from Route 47: 47S to Railroad Ave (traffic light) and make a right. Travel to Breakwater Rd (next light) and make a right. Travel to Cape May Airport entrance and make a right into the airport complex. Follow Aviation Museum signs.

Northbound on Parkway: Take Exit 4, make a left at light onto Rt 47. Travel west to Rt 9 (second traffic light) and make a left onto Rt 9S. Travel to Breakwater Rd (traffic light) and make a right. Travel to Cape May Airport entrance and make a right into the airport complex. Follow Aviation Museum signs.

Northbound on Seashore Rd from Cape May: Take Seashore Rd out of Cape May to Breakwater Rd and make a left (light). Travel to Cape May Airport entrance and make a right into the airport complex. Follow Aviation Museum signs.
