INTERACTIVE DISPLAYS
Wright Bothers fans, take note: now you can learn all about the science of flight without leaving Cape May County. Interactive exhibits and educational panels that explained such complexities as “How Airplanes Fly” to generations of Franklin Institute visitors have found a new home at Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum. The Franklin Institute closed its Hall of Aviation for renovations in March of 2003.  With limited storage space, some favorite aviation exhibits were therefore sentenced to the scrap heap. Instead of losing such a wealth of educational tools, NAS Wildwood Aviation Museum incorporated the exhibits into its collection. Transportation for the numerous, heavy exhibits was donated by J.D. Bailey Trucking Company of North Cape May.
